Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Quality and Environmental Engineers in the West Midlands to work for a leading contractor in the West Midlands. Our client specialises in the processing of construction materials for use in major construction and building projects.

This is an essential role for the business as you will concentrate on managing all quality and environmental compliance requirements at a construction site project in the West Midlands.

This particular project is based at a construction site project in the West Birmingham area. This project is working on HS2 and will subsequently progress to other locations in the coming months once this section has been completed.

  • Ensuring all quality and environmental requirements are adhered to in relation to the Material Management Plan, The Remediation Implementation Plan and the Material Testing Plan.
  • Following ITPs and completing onsite daily records for excavations and compaction of earthworks.
  • Conforming to the deployment licence held by a 3rd party and carrying out weekly audits.
  • Monitoring of water extraction/treatment records and nose monitoring
  • Dust monitoring.
  • Arranging collection of samples taken.
  • Collating sample test reports.
  • Ensure all quality and environmental requirements are in place and recorded.
  • Work safely on site.
  • Ensure good client and project team relationship.
  • Building a relationship with our supply chain to emboss a team ethos.

Applicant Profile
  • Level 3 Engineering Degree Qualification.
  • Experienced in managing and overseeing Quality and Environmental compliance in a construction environment.
  • Ideally experience from the quarrying or aggregate industries.
  • Ideally experience or understanding of civil engineering or construction.
  • Must be willing to commute to West Birmingham area.
  • Full driving licence.
