Our client is a global, independent, multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering sustainable engineering and design solutions across the built environment.

Their Structural Engineering team pride themselves on an exemplary track record of designing innovative and sustainable structural solutions, that minimise the use of natural resources.

As one of the longest established of many disciplines, the structural team are a source of industry leading expertise and offer a pro-active and collaborative approach to skill development, and professional excellence.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client focused Structural Engineer to join the team at the Birmingham office, to play a leading role in the design of some of the most exciting and prestigious construction projects in the UK and internationally, across a variety of sectors including education, commercial, retail, industrial and residential. We have a fantastic pipeline of work which includes projects from the Midlands, across the UK and around the world such as the Paradise Development in Birmingham, new build high-rise developments in Birmingham, and a New Rail Depot in Dubai.

You will take a senior role within a team of expert engineers and technicians, and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects. You will have the opportunity to develop new and nurture existing client relationships that maximise satisfaction and ensure repeat business, and will use your wealth of expertise and determination to manage, motivate and inspire less experienced engineers.

The company pride itself on providing outstanding service to clients in order to maximise repeat business and you will be expected to play an important role in the continued development of new clients and the nurturing of existing client relationships.

Skills

A chartered engineer (CEng or equivalent), and accredited with a degree (or equivalent) in structural or civil engineering, you have gained significant practical experience of structural engineering within a consultancy environment, and an accomplished level of relevant IT skills in structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Robot, Tekla or TEDDS.

You have a portfolio of experience demonstrating your quality and client focussed approach, and have consistently demonstrated your ability to manage multiple large scale projects and less experienced engineers to deliver to, and exceed client expectations. Crucially, you have a passion for creative, sustainable and intuitive design.
