Their bespoke software is already the only tool that allows designers and engineers to simulate the full performance of buildings and they are now expanding their portfolio with new solutions to tackle the built environment at any scale.

The Opportunity

As the business grows their Consultancy team, a requirement to recruit a Non-Domestic Energy Engineer has developed for their Glasgow office. Although based in Glasgow, hybrid and flexible working options are available. Other UK locations will be considered by arrangement, regular travel to Scottish and other UK on-site locations will be required.

You will work as an integral member of the expanding international consulting team. You will be responsible for surveying large commercial properties based in Scotland, collecting data onsite, while training in modelling these properties and producing Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).

The Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Energy Engineer with appropriate and relevant engineering, surveying and/or architectural background, with the following skills and experience:

Essential:
  • Experience of performing site visits including building surveys of HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of UK and/or Irish building regulations compliance frameworks (Part L/Section6)
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering or related discipline
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Hold a full UK driving licence


Desirable:
  • Experience of using building simulation software or related software tools (e.g. CAD, energy modelling, loads analysis, daylight modelling, solar modelling, HVAC design tools)
  • Domestic Energy Assessor or Non-Domestic Energy Assessor - where needed full training will be provided to work towards accreditation
  • Experience with Building Services including knowledge of HVAC systems
