We have an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate to join our Projects Team for a Year in Industry: you will learn about the evolving energy landscape, gain experience of how to develop energy projects, and actively support the delivery of projects on the ground.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will be well-organised and technically-oriented, with a desire to learn about the development and execution of energy asset projects. You will:
  • be responsible for new technology reviews to help ensure that emerging approaches and ideas are considered in our projects.
  • support our UK-wide site master planning activities, evaluating and developing options for long-term sustainable energy solutions.
  • work with members of the UK Projects team to develop and manage the implementation of energy asset projects.
  • learn about all aspects of project management, including technical delivery, project planning, resourcing, cost control and risk management.

Who we are seeking

  • Studying for an engineering or science-based degree
  • An interest in project management, including technical and commercial aspects
  • Basic knowledge of, and strong interest in, the energy industries
  • Self-motivated and inquisitive, with a strong desire to learn new things
  • Equally comfortable working alone and in teams
  • Enjoy the challenges of problem solving and dealing with ambiguity
  • Like working on multiple and varied activities concurrently
  • Flexible to travel

  • Holds a full UK driving licence
