Job Summary
Temporary for 2 years.

Due to funding criteria, applicants must be aged 16-19 by the provisional start date of 29th August 2022.

During Covid-19, we are taking the opportunity to work in different ways and this includes how we continue to undertake our interviews. We are using Microsoft Teams to progress with interviews virtually and all you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

This Modern Apprentice post is based in our Engineering Services Team within Commercial Services. You will assist in contract preparation for road, structures and design works, preparation of road marking schemes and temporary traffic regulation orders, provision and maintenance of traffic signs and also the management, co-ordination and implementation of road maintenance contracts. Provide technical support to engineers who design and manage projects. Assist environmental impact and risks. Undertake bridge inspections and flood prevention work.
