We have been appointed to help our client with hiring a MEICA LEAD for a minimum of 6 months contract with project scope of 3 to 4 years.

This will be largely remote work and with an occasional need for the site or office visits (3 to 4 days a months).

This is delivering in the WATER FRAMEWORK.

This will be working inside IR35.

37.50 hours weekly.

The day rate depends on experience.

Job Description

What will you be doing as our new Senior BIM Engineer? Develop computer aided designs which provide the team with buildable solutions. The SPA are looking to deliver innovative solutions, driving value for money for our Clients and Customers. The successful candidate will be fully integrated into the production and delivery teams with SPA and will responsible for developing pipe route plan and section drawings, for design development, planning applications and construction. In addition the candidate would be capable of developing 3D models for the production of non-infrastructure assets (pumping stations, storage tanks and dosing units) within the BIM360 environment. Working closely with the SPA teams, you will embed a collaborative approach to developing designs, facilitating buildability, operational and maintenance reviews of the assets within 3D and 4D environments. You will be expected to have experience within the water industry and detailed knowledge of products and methods of working to improve efficiency in the design process, whilst acting as a proactive problem-solver by applying engineering principles. You should also demonstrate a thorough understanding of the required quality assurance processes required and be competent in using the required CDE environments in both Sharepoint and BIM360. Applicants should preferably demonstrate experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and have a track record in design of a section of the works. They need an ability to embrace production thinking but equally be well versed with producing solutions which are operable and maintainable.

Candidate Specification
  • Develop required digital outputs for a range of infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure requirements are met - including solutions, planning, production and delivery.
  • Embrace digital transformation throughout design, including the creation of 3D and 4D models.
  • Assist solution development and Involvement in the interfaces with our Utilities and Environmental teams, and liaison with Temporary Works Design.
  • Facilitate solution reviews within digital platforms with the required SPA teams and AWS operations.
  • Strong and demonstrable competence in Revit and/or Civil 3D. Plant 3D and BIM 360 knowledge is a bonus. Water Market experience will be of particular interest.
