Roma Black are proud to be partnered with a civil engineering company who are looking for a Quality and Environmental Engineer to work on the HS2 project in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all the quality and environmental requirements on the construction site in Washwood Heath.

We are looking for an environmental engineer with a background in heavy civils / earthworks who can work autonomously to ensure all quality and environmental requirements are fulfilled.

Duties and responsibilities of a Quality and Environmental Engineer:

Completing onsite daily records for excavations and compaction of earthworks
Conforming to the deployment licence
Carrying our weekly audits
Monitoring water extraction/treatment records
Dust monitoring
Arranging collection of samples taken and collating sample test reports
Ensuring all quality and environmental requirements are adhered Required skills & experience of a Quality and Environmental Engineer:

Experience in an environmental engineering role on a construction site
Experience of taking samples and collating test reports
Knowledge of Material Management Plan, The Remediation Implementation Plan and the Material Testing Plan
Experience of auditing and completing daily site records
Degree qualified in a relevant subject
Good level of IT and communications Features and benefits:
