About the new role:
My Client are seeking a full-time Geo-Environmental Engineer at their Head Office just outside Winchester. Due to expansion the Environmental Engineer will be working with the companies established commercial and contracting team providing support on projects in the south.
Key responsibilities:
Undertake various aspects of Geo-Environmental Investigations, mainly comprising Phase 1 and 2 investigations typically in line with material management services and requirements.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of environmental engineering services under the direction of the commercial team.
Involvement in geotechnical engineering, remediation, piling, and earthworks largely for brownfield / commercial sites.
Logging soil samples, scheduling laboratory testing
Site monitoring - groundwater, surface water and ground-gas
Conducting soil and groundwater risk assessments
Liaising with Clients and Regulators
Production of Remediation Method Statements, supervision of remediation works and production of Validation Reports
Requirements:
Relevant degree in Geology/Environmental Science
Minimum of 5yrs working within the industry in the UK
Ideally CIWEM
Full clean driving licence
