Our client a well respected international multi disciplinary consultancy who are working on a number of exciting and projects to deliver for clients across a range of sectors.

They are looking for a talented structural engineer to join the team as a Principal. This engineer will be a key member of the design team, you will lead the engineering design process, engineers and technicians

Responsibilities

The management of engineering designs in accordance with the client's brief or project requirements;

The review of designs;

Managing the resource requirements for projects.

Contributing to the day-to-day financial and commercial management and control of projects;

Supporting the team Associate(s) in the delivery and management of all aspects of projects;

Providing training and support to more junior team members;

Contributing to the development and maintenance of relationships with existing and prospective clients;

Assisting with the preparation of submissions and fee bids as required;

Take an active role in the improvement of technical standards, knowledge sharing, new codes and methods of working.

Requirements:

Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
Chartered Engineer
Proven experience in an engineering consultancy
Experience of designing in accordance with current British Standards, codes of practice and industry good practice
Experience of representing a team or business at internal and external meetings
Proven ability to lead, motivate and work within a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
