An international, multi-discipline Engineering firm based in Salford Quays are currently looking to add an Associate Civil & Structural Engineer to the team. As a technical expert, you'll support our teams on key projects and play a role in mentoring Engineers and Technicians. Client care and repeat business is crucial to success, so you'll need to be able to collaborate, challenge and own key relationships with our clients, both internally and externally.

Specialising in complex infrastructure, process and built environments across the full project life cycle, our disciplines range from initial architecture to civil and structural, building services, specialist high voltage and process engineering services, programme management and CDM consultancy, using the latest innovations in Building Information Modelling (BIM) for the most efficient and cost-effective design.

Required Knowledge & Experience of an Associate Civil & Structural Engineer
Essential:

Chartered Member of ICE and/or IStructE.
Demonstrable track record of technical leadership and of delivering multi-disciplinary projects in at least one sector that BakerHicks operates in.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to eloquently present complex ideas.
Strong ability to develop enduring relationships with both internal and external stakeholders that deliver long term benefits.
Desirable:

Extensive experience of delivering multi-disciplinary projects in several sectors that BakerHicks operates in.
Considerable experience in mentoring, developing and upskilling.
Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects.
Ability to develop, deploy and implement strategic vision
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Time, cost, quality and resource and delivery management including communication with the department and management to ensure that resource, project and customer requirements are clearly understood and met.
Contribute to the production of enquiry plans, tender reviews, fee estimate sheets, scopes of work, change control preparation.
Provide feedback on the performance of the department from a technical and operational perspective.
Design and technical reviews, including peer group audit functions of the designs of other team members for 'Perfect Delivery'.
Provide technical support and guidance to help develop, retain and engage members of the C&S team, supporting BakerHicks' commitments to diversity and staff development.
Act as an interface to clients on key projects ensuring a responsive customer-focused service
Ensure team compliance with company quality management and best practice
Management of project quality, technical assurance and delivery.
Review the production of calculations, drawings, specifications and reports, site surveys, construction stage duties, client liaison, liaison with members of design/construction teams, project management, costing and any other relevant duty required to comply with the project brief.
Remuneration and Benefits:

£60,000 - £70,000 basic salary
