The Package:

What we are looking for:
* A degree in civil or structural engineering and be either a Chartered Engineer or an Incorporated Engineer with membership of the ICE or IStructE.
* Several years of post-qualification experience in the UK construction industry.
* Experience of working in a variety of sectors as we typically undertake residential, commercial, industrial, education, energy, leisure, retail and heritage projects for both private and public sector clients.
* Proficient in the structural design and specification of buildings using all common construction materials and have experience of designing in accordance with Eurocodes and, preferably,also British Standards.
* Proficient in the use of modern 3D analysis and design software and preferably be AutoCAD literate (experience with Revit would also be beneficial but is not essential).
* Good IT and communication skills, be able to liaise closely with clients, contractors and other professionals, participate confidently in project meetings and be a team player, ideally with some experience of managing small groups of engineers and technicians.
* You should possess a full UK driving license and own a car that can be used to travel to the sites of projects on which they may be working. They should also currently be eligible to work in the UK indefinitely.
What you'll be doing:
* Working on a wide variety of interesting projects across the UK, including the design of building structures primarily, but also earth retaining structures, flood defences, etc. as well as carrying out structural inspections and writing inspection reports.
* Lead the design work on projects from conception to completion with minimal direction/supervision from the Partners and have commercial awareness with respect to the project budget and our fees.
