Working with minimal supervision or guidance, the fundamental requirement of this role is to work with our existing design team including carrying out feasibility studies, reference designs, detailed designs, and preparing reports and technical specifications and proposals for water related infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects for key local and regional clients.
You will:
• Take responsibility for leading small projects and sub tasks from a technical perspective
• Prepare preliminary and detailed design analysis, calculations, specifications and related documentation for civil and structural works
• Communicate designs effectively to the BIM teams
• Communicate effectively with other disciplines and construction teams
• Communicate confidently and authoritatively with clients
• Challenge and deliver value engineering solutions
• Support and guide more junior team members
You will be based in Manchester with occasional visits to other offices and site.

Type of candidate:
• Minimum BEng Civil or Structural Engineering
• Must be chartered or near Chartered with ICE or IStructE
• Have experience in the full cycle of project design delivery from inception to detailed design
• Have knowledge and experience of design of waste water treatment works, water treatment works, waste water networks and/or potable water networks, pumping stations and reservoirs
• Experience of working within multidisciplinary teams and able to provide technical monitoring to Graduate Engineers and technicians
• Excellent communication skills

Role sits outside IR35. Client is willing to discuss working arrangements remote/hybrid
