Your new role:

As a Mechanical Engineer you will be one of our consultants performing on one of our major engineering projects in the UK. You will also be contributing to our development and growth within the Energy industry.

As Mechanical Engineer your main responsibilities will be:

· Develop mechanical systems and products by applying the principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.

· Lead and support of development technicians, prototype product and system assembly activities.

· Work with customers and partners to develop and integrate solutions.

· Oversee the processing of development materials, through the procurement process, internal manufacturing processes, testing and post-test analysis.

The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughout their career with Alten, developing their engineering knowledge as a Mechanical Engineer and a consultant.

Experience required:

· Minimum three years' experience related to the above accountabilities.

· Experience in the automotive, aerospace or white-goods sectors would be an advantage.

· Knowledge of small batch and series production manufacturing and assembly processes.

· Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices.

· Ideally experience using Product Data Management systems.

Qualifications required:

Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.
