Our clients practice was formed in 1997 to offer consulting services on all aspects of ground engineering, including the assessment and remediation of contaminated land.

They offer a combined approach to geotechnical and geoenvironmental site assessment and this helps them to provide the most thorough and cost-effective service for their clients. This can result in sites that have previously been considered economically unviable becoming profitable development opportunities.

They are now looking to recruit a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their busy team.

Duties and Responsibilities• Desk study enquiries• On site investigation works including logging of samples, specialist sampling for geotechnical and analytical testing and supervision of contractors• On-site monitoring and measurement

Graduate Engineer, under direction from a Project Director/Manager, is responsible for carrying out:• Preparation of laboratory testing schedules• Preparation of factual and interpretative aspects of site investigation reports• Supervision and direction of specialist geotechnical/environmental/groundworks contractors and preparation of completion/validation reports• Qualitative and quantitative analysis of geotechnical and environmental designs including computer based analysis• Detailed design of geotechnical and environmental solutions including foundations, retaining walls, earthworks, remediation schemes, monitoring programmes

Graduate Engineer shall:

• Be aware of Health and Safety Law and Environmental Law responsibilities• Ensure he/she is undertaking continuing professional development by reading journals, attending seminars and attending courses.
