Heavy vehicle mechanic/construction plant Service Engineer

Leading sales, hire and service provider of specialist vehicles for on and off road cleaning machines are actively looking to expand their national service engineering team in line with their rapidly growing national client portfolio and broader product range available on offer.

Role- Field Service Engineer

Working from home managing your own area and customer base you will organise your daily and weekly schedule in order of priority and geography whilst working closely with your regional planning coordinator and your customers needs to provide an optimum and efficient service. Repair and maintenance service to larger commercial and industrial companies of a range of petrol, diesel and new electric vehicles.

Skills -

Engine maintenance and repair

Hydraulics, service, maintenance, repair and the ability to strip and rebuild if needed.

Vehicle electrical diagnostics and repair.

Computer or laptop diagnostic skills.

Experience as a mobile engineer.

Excellent communication skills.

Customer relationship management and service delivery.

Geographical knowledge of your region.

Passion, commitment and pride in your workmanship.

Candidates from a construction plant, agricultural, heavy moving mechanical engineering, generators and mobile cranes are encouraged to apply however training will be provided to all and applications from similar transferable backgrounds will not be overlooked.

Full training will be provided in house and with manufactures.

In return for your services:

£12-£16p/h depending on skills and experience. Uncapped overtime available for those who wish to do more than the minimum overtime requirements of a mobile engineer.

45 hour week standard with 30 minutes paid lunch.

Start and finish between 7.30 - 5 for a standard paid day. Additional or outside of will be paid at overtime rates.

24 days annual leave plus statatory holidays.

1 day off on your birthday following probation.

Loyalty bonus paid following 12 months service.

Pension availible to join.

Full expensed van provided. Paid door to door with the option to opt in for private use.

What you will need :

Clean UK drivers licence with max 6 points and no criminal convictions.

You must be able to pass a DBS check..

Experience in a similar position ideally with a mechanically biased certification, recognised training or apprenticeship.
