Salary £35,000 To £50,000 Pa Depending On Experience
We have an exciting role focussing on renewable energy structural integrity engineering, to understand the strength, life, and dynamics of mechanical components, systems, assets and facilities (during design and through life)
We operate across all areas of renewable energy including wind, marine, solar, hydrogen and bioenergy as well as supporting key enablers such as energy storage solutions, to achieve a net-zero future. Our engineers apply their deep expertise to deliver projects that are high integrity, high performance, and high value for world class organisations.
Working across a wide customer base within the renewables sector, the types of projects they may get involved in would include:
Experience of design and structural integrity assessments of renewable energy assets including, strength, fatigue, fracture and lifing assessments would be advantageous. Experience of toolsets such as FEA and CAD is also desirable.

- Integrity assessment.
- Design substantiation.
- Failure investigation.
- Peer review.
- Design development
Experience of design and structural integrity assessments of renewable energy assets including, strength, fatigue, fracture and lifing assessments would be advantageous. Experience of toolsets such as FEA and CAD is also desirable.
Requirements
The successful applicant will meet the following minimum requirements:
- Degree qualified Mechanical engineer (2:1 or better)
- Knowledge of critical structural integrity challenges within the renewables sector
- Technical knowledge in the mechanical / structural engineering and sciences domain.
- Experience with stress analysis (Abaqus or Ansys), and codes such as BS7910, API-579, BS7608, IEC 61400, DNV or similar.
- Business Development - flexible on the level but must show the flair and interest
- Client facing - able to build strong relationships
- Team player, willing to working within a diverse, often multi-disciplinary team.
- Good interpersonal skills.
