First People Solutions is working with a successful Consulting Engineer in Edinburgh City Centre who are is involved in several major sectors across the UK. Our client has years of experience delivering quality services to clients and has a clear vision for design & engineering innovation. In addition to having a substantial workload ahead of them, they are seeking ambitious Senior Engineers & Structural Engineers to join their growing team.

The Role:

• Prepare and check detailed technical designs (calculations, drawings, risk assessments, design certificates).
• Client liaison, regulators and other stakeholders
• Assist with the developing and maintaining processes, procedures and standards for technical design
• Ensure designs meet CDM, health & safety, environmental compliance
• Advise and develop value-engineered alternative solutions during design or construction phases

What we need from you:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience
• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Understanding of building regulations, health & safety procedures and the production of structural designs
• Good knowledge of relevant policy and design standards
• Conversant in industry relevant software - Tekla Structural Designer, Revit, and AutoCAD
• Full clean drivers' licence
