Our client offering a broad and varied role within a challenging and rewarding environment where you will be involved in the effective delivery of residential foundation and assisting on designs across a wide range of diverse projects from commercial new builds to residential redevelopments.
Main responsibilities for the successful Structural Engineer:
- Preparation of designs for buildings and associated structures, from initial concepts through to detailed designs.
- Liaising with all parties during the design process including architects Associate Structural Engineer Position Requirements.
- Designing structures efficiently using concrete, steel, masonry and timber.
- Production of design calculations including using 3D modelling software, checking and reviewing of calculations produced by others.
- Producing sketch drawings / details for drawing / modelling by others and complete checking and reviewing of these prior to issue.
- Provide internal team Project Management on projects as required acting as client/design team interface and co-ordination with others
- Conduct design reviews with clients Provide strategic and design advice in line with the specification and brief.
- Carry out inspections and surveys, preparation of reports, structural analysis and reporting.
- Obtaining planning and or building regulations approval.
Main requirements for the successful Structural Engineer:
- Experience within projects with a construction value range of £250000 to £50million.
- Knowledge working on projects involving concrete/steel framing and refurbishments.
- Ideally Chartered or nearly Chartered Engineer - CEng, MIStructE / MICE
- Knowledge of Building Regulations
- RIBA Plan of Works
- Knowledge and practical experience of Calculation / modelling Software: TEKLA Structural Designer, proficient with AutoCAD and CRM software
- Knowledge of BIM processes (ISO19650) and implementation
- Minimum of 7 years` experience as Structural Engineer
