Are you an early-career environmental engineer / scientist working in the Contaminated land, Earthworks or Remediation industry and looking for an exciting opportunity to work for one of the largest and most technically qualified environmental remediation contractors in the UK?
My client is looking for an experienced candidate (minimum 1 - 2 years' experience) to fulfil an environmental engineer role, providing technical support to our land remediation and Contaminated Land projects operating throughout the UK.
Key responsibilities
* Provide technical support and management of remediation schemes and Contaminated Land projects.
* Design and complete Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigations.
* Undertake environmental monitoring and sampling, including sampling and liaison with testing laboratories.
* Undertake environmental risk assessments for human health and controlled waters using appropriate software packages (appropriate training will be provided as required).
Requirements
* Relevant degree/ masters (desirable)
* 1-2 min relevant experience
* Experience in site investigations (trial pitting, logging, drilling, etc).and interpretation of site investigation data.
* Driving licence (essential)
Needs to be able and willing to travel and stay away from home during the week - candidates can be based in the North or South but preferably close to either the companys office in the SW or their Sheffield office (within 1 hour)
Package - salary dependant on experience, fully expensed company vehicle, 25 days leave plus BH's (rises over time served), 6% company pension, pay care medical benefit, payment of annual professional membership
