Structural Fire Engineer - The Role

* Optimise passive fire protection solutions by reducing the volume of protection required and maintaining favourable selling prices

* Execute structural Fire Engineering activities across the infrastructure and oil & gas markets globally

* Provide crucial support to our Regional Sales team and Key Account Managers

* Provide optimised passive fire protection solutions derived from performance-based approaches

* Develop testing plans for product development

* Raise our profile/visibility within the global industry by helping publish industry technical journals and papers

Structural Fire Engineer - About You

* Graduate in a relevant discipline such as structural or mechanical engineering

* Ideally achieved Chartered Engineer status

* Experienced in finite element analysis and heat transfer fundamentals

* Sound knowledge of Structural Fire Engineering principles and performance-based approaches

* Familiar with producing material take-offs for passive fire protection

* Familiar passive fire protection testing and certification requirements

* Understanding of fundamental principles & application of mandatory requirements & guidelines relating to structural design at elevated temperatures given in AISC 360-16, Eurocodes, BS 5950-8 and AS 4100

* Strong communication, people and interpersonal skills

* Enjoys a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key
