Your role will be to deliver innovative, cost effective solutions in close collaboration with Delivery Partners for a wide variety of water and / or wastewater infra and non-infra projects. Your primary role will be to work in the Network team and depending on project demands, you will be required to provide input in Water and Wastewater Infrastructure projects. This includes a strategic programme of works which includes the development of new desalination and water recycling source options as part of a wider plan to help protect the unique chalk streams in our Hampshire region. You will be involved in the design of the trunk mains transferring this vital resource to the water stressed regions.
This is a long running programme, spanning a minimum of five years and offers a rare opportunity for a Senior Engineer to be at the forefront of a strategic water ring-main design in the UK and our client is looking for a Senior Engineer who can drive the project forward effectively.
Responsibilities
Work within a multi-disciplinary integrated design team to provide technical supervision and input to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery
Support the development and nurturing of talent across the Civil discipline in producing safe, efficient and high quality solution deliverables in line with sector best practice and innovation using the most appropriate tools and digital enablers.
Balance value and risk management to enable the selection of the optimum solution.Qualifications
Technical knowledge in Civil engineering and have water industry experience.
High level problem solving and communication skills are critical, coupled with your engineering judgment to solve design issues.
You must have design experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects and experience in water and wastewater treatment systems.
5 years of experience within the water industry desirable.
Chartered Member of the ICE/CIWEM or be keen to work towards this, which you will be fully supported. (Note if not Chartered, you will need a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering.)Benefits
