Introduction
Astute Technical Recruitment are currently looking for an Outage Project Engineer to join our client who are a leader in the Energy from Waste sector.

As a member of their Central Engineering Team, you will be responsible for supporting the site maintenance teams with the planning, scheduling, and delivery of Plant Outages. Ideally this role will be based at either their power station in Peterborough or Dunbar. However, they could be flexible on this if you are prepared to travel.

Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for…

Planning and scheduling of work packages by utilising best practice to drive a safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery plan
Provide contractor liaison during planning and implementation phases of the works
Assist in the development of pressure parts management plans across all sites to forecast scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
Regularly attending sites to review critical stock holdings of outage spare and wear parts to ensure all required items are held at site
Support the site Engineering Managers in the day-to-day delivery of the outage period
Conduct RCM reviews of mechanical maintenance procedures to deliver equipment availability
Qualifications, Experience and Skills

A formal qualification such as a HNC or equivalent within a relevant engineering discipline
Experience of power industry outage planning
Experience managing contractors to deliver agreed KPIs
Experience of HSE legislations relevant to the Power industry or heavy process engineering environments
An IOSH qualification will be desirable
UK Driving licence is a must for this position
Salary & Benefits

Basic salary of £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
