Our busy highways client are recruiting for a Resource Planner - Civil Engineering. This is a key role linking the operational team within the civil engineering industry to the commercial team, ensuring that future contracts are planned for and resources are accordingly allocated.
About the Role
The ideal Resource Planner - Civil Engineering candidate will have top communication skills, works well in a team and on their own steam. This person will work closely with the Project Managers and the estimating team to ensure contract wins are planned for in advance and resources, both commercial and staffing/materials, are planned for in advance.
Other areas include:
Ensuring compliance with quality, safety and environmental objectives
Linking the commercial team and the operational team re upcoming contracts
Analysing future contracts to plan for crossover on dates and resource management
Work within the highways and water divisions
What will you bring?
Be able to demonstrate experience working as a Resource Planner - Civil Engineering - or similar role, maybe an assistant Project Manager or some other similar role.
Some experience working with the highways or water industry.
Show the with ability to plan and organise and operate to tight deadlines.
Ability to communicate and build relationships, with a strong Customer focus.
Strong IT Skills.
The ideal Resource Planner - Civil Engineering candidate will have:
A degree in a construction related field
A strong civil engineering background
Good commercial and production experience
A good team working attitude

Working on multidisciplinary projects with a civil engineering contractor who is committed to high quality work
Working within and adding to a strong operational team
Linking the plans for future contracts with various teams across the business
Working on various forms of contract across private work, frameworks and other contracts.
