Associate Civil Engineer Infrastructure
Central London
£65,000 to £75,000 + Bonus + Working from home + Overtime + Excellent Package
We have a vacancy for an Associate in our London head office to lead a team of seven six risk engineers who produce FRAs for development projects in accordance with the NPPF, outline drainage/SuDS strategies and hydraulic modelling, both as part of multi-disciplinary teams and for our own external clients. We also provide due diligence flood risk advice to landowners and are increasingly undertaking flood studies in the public sector, an area we are looking to grow further.
Qualifications - Ideally degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
Experience - The successful candidate is likely to have at least 5 years' experience preparing FRAs, drainage strategies and flood alleviation schemes for public and private sector clients and have obtained a relevant professional qualification.
Key Skills
· Ability to recognise and communicate flooding and drainage related constraints and opportunities at development sites
· Experience producing and reviewing a wide range of FRAs and drainage strategies using Micro Drainage and knowledge of hydraulic modelling
· Good knowledge of the planning system, in particular flood related policy and guidance such as the NPPF and SuDS Manual
· Ideally experience of managing FCERM schemes in the public sector
· Experience of leading public and private sector bids
· Ability to manage team to deliver both technical and financial targets
· Good project management and communication skills in a client facing role
· Ability to write clear and concise reports
· Ability to supervise and motivate others
