Qualifications:
Civil or Structural Degree, Chartered

Key skills:

Experienced in Renewables offshore projects
Has minimum ten years experience
Demonstrable track record of technical delivery on detailed design projects. A minimum of two projects.
Detailed technical knowledge of substation topside design to a level sufficient for detailed design stages
Detailed technical knowledge of steel structural design for jackets and topsides for offshore structures to a level sufficient for detailed design projects
Finite Element analysis experience for offshore structural analysis
Knowledge of offshore relevant codes, standards and best practice for offshore design in renewables sector
Lead and manage engineers to produce technical output as part of a wider multi discipline scope
Experience and skills in communicating and interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines across a project team.
Excellent change control and management skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent understanding of offshore wind farm design drivers, risks and legislation
Excellent quality control culture, behaviours and awareness
Forecasting and planning skills and experience
Good understanding of project cost and schedule controls
Is a self starter but works well within a multi discipline team
Articulate with excellent report writing skills.
Ability to form and manage discipline teams, plan delivery and manage or author project bids
Experience of lump sum projects a distinct advantageScope of Responsibilities:

Lead a structural engineering team to deliver design scopes to time and budget
Complete design of offshore structures to meet industry codes and certification requirements
Liaise with and work closely with all other project disciplines
Ensure technical quality of engineering
Identify scope changes
Identify interfaces internally and externally and initiate controls
Review structural analysis, calculations and reports to an exceptional quality
