Senior Structural Survey Engineer
Location: Bristol, South West
We are looking for a Senior Structural Survey Engineer with several years experience in the structural surveying of buildings to assist in growing our clients structural design team in the South West / Bristol area.Digital technology is at the heart of all that they do. This enables them to provide a high quality, highly efficient service to their clients. The successful candidate will embrace the benefits of new, innovative technology and bring new ideas to their business, to help shape the future.
Duties:
Structural surveys for all types of building structures
Preparation of technical reports
Preparation of Designer's Risk Assessments
Liaising with technicians
Providing support to the structural team
Site inspections
Preparation of fee bids
Assisting in growth of the northwest team, and associated leadership of that team
Managing projects in a timely and profitable manner
Assisting with seeking new opportunities
Education/Knowledge:
Good degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (essential)
Chartered Engineer (preferred but not essential)
5-10 years design experience, as a guide
Proficiency in IT systems (essential)
A good understanding of building structures and materials including steel, masonry, concrete, and timber
Familiar with British Standards and/or Eurocodes
Key Attributes/Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Confident
Excellent work ethic
Passionate about innovative technologies and progressive change
Car owner and UK driving licence
Systems Capability:
All aspects of Microsoft Office
Industry standard structural design software such as TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
