Post Title: Commissioning Engineer (Design & Construction)
: Inverness
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: HC09 £37,146 - £40,222 p.a.

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: To be responsible for the preparation of Design and Construction Phases Commissioning Plans (from contract inception through to handover of building), and associated documentation for the Commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) Building Services Engineering services in association with the Council's property portfolio (and, potentially, future housing stock).

To be responsible for the establishment and detailing of bespoke commissioning processes and procedures for individual project/contract works.

To oversee the Commissioning of MEP systems and installations on site (primarily for all Major building construction projects) and provide Client side validation that the agreed commissioning has been carried out satisfactorily and should be capable of operation within the stated design parameters.

To work with Contractor(s) during the design and construction process attending Commissioning meetings (and others as deemed necessary) and regular attendance on multiple sites, providing regular internal progress reporting, witnessing of actual commissioning and verification of its satisfactory completion and 'sign off' of their acceptance.

To provide professional and technical advice and information on all aspects of commissioning of building services, its impact on the operation
