Civil Design Engineer - Water / Wastewater

As Civil Design Engineer, you will join an enthusiastic and growing multi-disciplinary Water team based in Belfast, delivering a range of design and project management services for Water companies, Contractors Design and Build and private developers. This large and diverse water team offer a multi-disciplinary, integrated design and management service from feasibility, planning, outline and detailed design through to contract preparation, tendering and construction support.

Offering a Civil Engineer position within an established design team focusing on Water / Wastewater / Utilities sector and building on strategic partnership agreements this is a challenging and rewarding role and will offer you the chance to lead projects. You will have a desire to work within a growing design team, as well as providing Civil design support on a range of integrated design and management frameworks from feasibility, planning, outline and detailed design through to contract preparation, tendering and construction support.

Key Responsibilities as Civil Design Engineer:

Assists in planning, designing, constructing and maintaining physical infrastructures; helps ensure compliance with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
Performs the basic evaluation and inspection of civil engineering projects to ensure that standards and requirements are met.
Prepares, maintains and reviews technical documentation for civil engineering projects (e.g. drawings and specifications) under the supervision of senior engineers.
Follows applicable building codes and safety regulations relevant to civil engineering.Key attributes and experience:

A Civil Engineering degree with 3 plus years relevant industry experience;
Demonstrable technical experience in design and delivery of Water and/or Wastewater projects.
Be a chartered engineer or approaching chartership.
Broader experience in wider Civil Engineering also beneficial, including in particular Public Realm design and surface water management.
Excellent knowledge of the Water industry, including current industry best practice and innovations
Possessing one or more fields of specific expertise is an advantage, such as water retaining design, network modelling and software, zonal studies etc.Key Benefits:
