A globally renown leader in land surveying for the Construction, Marine, Energy & Rail sectors. A Specialist firm of Geophysical & Geotechnical geo-consultants, conducting land & nearshore site surveys for large scale infrastructure projects spanning across industry, and across continents.
With a solid reputation and very firmly established land characterisation division, the business is seeking an individual with significant experience in ground investigations, to join the business to support on-going near/onshore construction projects.
The individual will possess an analytical mindset, technical & interpersonal skills, people & project management experience, and above all a passion for all things geological & environmental.
Principal Responsibilities:
Acting as site manager, delegate project responsibility to on-site staff.
Support Principal Geoenvironmental Engineer in planning, resources, management, technical support, and training of engineers & technicians.
Manage projects of various sizes & budgets within the company portfolio, ensuring adherence to delivery of project & programme dates.
Providing geoenvironmental services to company clients, personal communication with project management team to ensure objectives are met.
Prepare risk and environmental impact assessments.
Prepare geotechnical / geo-environmental reports, drawings and ground models.
Analyse and approve data provided from cone penetration tests, company labs, geophysical & drilling professionals.
Computer literate, able to use various common software packages.
Qualifications:
Higher Education in Geophysics, Geotechnical / Environmental / Civil Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences.
