Overview
Energy Resourcing have a requirement for a Senior Structural Engineer, with our internal client Worley for a 12 month contract position working on an exciting Battery Giga-plant project, as they transition further into the new energy sector. This role can be based in one of Worley's regional offices in the UK in London, Stockton, Manchester, Glasgow or Aberdeen.
Responsibilities
* Development of structural/civil specifications and designs.
* Undertaking calculations to ensure the structural / civil design is fit for purpose.
* Ensure that designs comply with the relevant design codes and guidelines
* Undertake intelligent modelling, analysis and design of structural systems using STAAD Pro
* Ensure blast response and other dynamic loads are considered in designs where necessary to do so.
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor degree or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject.
* Chartered Engineer and member of appropriate engineering institution.
* Experienced in use of design and assessment methods used within discipline.
* Experienced in use of analytical methods used within discipline including theoretical background for analysis programs.
* Experienced in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting.
* Experienced in controlling all aspects of discipline design including some multi-discipline aspects.
* Experienced in producing man-hour and material estimates for all discipline activities.
* Experienced/competent in supervising and the organisation of a medium/large sized single discipline team within a project
