Our client is an award-winning structural design agency based in the Southwest. They are seeking an ambitious Chartered Structural Engineer with a good track record to join their team and work on a variety of exciting client projects, ranging from large country buildings and historic houses to modern-day structures.

This unique opportunity provides an excellent pathway to senior leadership over the next 2-3 years, where the right candidate will have the opportunity to progress into Directorship and take a sizeable equity stake in the business, allowing the current owners to retire.

The Role

As a Chartered Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for working on a variety of client projects and must have a good technical understanding and knowledge of buildings. You will be interacting with architecture firms on a regular basis and will play a key role in helping to attract new projects to the company. You will be driving high levels of client satisfaction through excellent communication and project management skills.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for you to step into a Chartered Structural Engineering position, leading onto a director with a sizeable equity ownership within the next 2-3 years.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver projects to completion, within budget and to program.
  • Ensure the provision of efficient high quality structural engineering design.
  • Be the first point of contact for clients, contractors, design team and third parties.
  • Offer support and guidance to more junior members of the team.
  • Effective time management
  • Build client relationships and help identify business opportunities.


Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a client focussed Chartered Structural Engineer with at least 5 years professional experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and project management abilities with a ‘can-do' attitude.
