We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Structural Engineer to join one of the world's most prestigious and major names in multi-disciplinary engineering services.

The Design and Engineering teams in their Epsom office provide multi-disciplinary design and assurance services to clients in the Renewables, Conventional Generation, Oil & Gas, Energy from Waste, Energy Storage and Petrochemical Markets. The roles will offer an opportunity to provide an exciting opportunity to work within large multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex, innovative solutions.

This is a varied role and will include everything from hand calculations to linear and nonlinear finite element analysis. The role includes working with others to identify and develop new technical methodologies as well as communicating and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities:

Undertaking structural engineering analysis and design under the supervision of a senior engineer.
Production of structural engineering calculations to both Eurocodes and British Standards.
Drafting structural specifications.
Carrying out structural surveys.
Working with CAD Technicians to produce relevant structural information. Requirements:

A degree-qualified Civil/Structural Engineer (1st or upper 2:1),
An understanding of the fundamentals of structural engineering and of relevant structural codes and standards,
Demonstrable experience and focus on project delivery, including experience of working to tight budgets and timescales,
A willingness to develop a wide range of skills and flexibility to work on variety of projects,
Experience of applying appropriate quality assurance and reporting,
Experience of working with local and geographically disparate teams and resources,
Able to motivate self and teams, deal with conflict and create a strong delivery culture. The successful Assistant Structural Engineer will be rewarded with a competitive salary, generous benefits package and a varied, challenging role.
