A fantastic opportunity has arisen for one of my clients who are the UK's leading sustainable structural frame contractor, working with blue chip clients to produce outstanding mass timber & structural steel builds. Their expertise extends across all major sectors and can be seen in many of the UK's most recognisable projects. My client's aspiration is to deliver engineered timber and hybrid projects to the highest quality, achieving ultimate client satisfaction and forming long standing relationships. As part of a larger construction Group, they have been delivering projects for over 45 years to become a multi award-winning market leader.
Due to continued expansion, they are looking for a Structural Engineer to join the team ideally from a structural steelwork background. My client are the UK's leading sustainable frame contractor specialising in the design and delivery of timber and steel hybrid structures. The successful candidate will be based at our state-of-the-art headquarters in Derby, a well-connected city near the Peak District.
Responsibility & Duties
* They are looking for structural engineers with adaptability, technical skill, and good communication to join our design team. You will work on building design from early stages through connections and temporary works, as well as research and development
Experience & Qualification
* Degree level education in structural engineering or similar is required, with MEng/MSc, PhD and CEng qualifications valued
* Experience of design in steel and/or timber would be a bonus
* Strong communication will help you work collaboratively with colleagues, other construction professionals and research institutions
* Candidates should have a good working knowledge of Eurocodes and an appreciation of their underlying principles
* You will be expected to develop a fundamental understanding of related fields such as structural fire design, building physics, architecture, and manufacturing
