The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an Associate Civil Engineer to join our team in Wellington, New Zealand. Working with a skilled and energetic team you'll have an opportunity to play a key role in leading and developing civil engineering in the Wellington region as well as the wider RBG business.

Apply your talents to a diverse range of private and public sector projects, including major government infrastructure projects, industrial, urban renewal and land development. This role will also see you collaborating with our Auckland civil team as well as our civil teams in Australia and abroad. You may also have the chance to work on international projects as the opportunities arise.

If you enjoy the broad scope of civil engineering disciplines; leading projects and design teams to deliver built environment projects such as Ngā Kāinga Anamata - Homes of the Future, or the Waikeria Prison Development Project as well as infrastructure projects in the transport, energy and water sectors, then this role could be for you. At RBG, we work on a wide variety of projects, varying scales, and within different sectors. We value technical knowledge and expertise in order to provide delivery-focussed solutions for our clients.

The successful applicant will have:
  • Enthusiasm and passion for the role
  • Be a team player
  • Experience and competency to lead projects, manage clients, and provide technical leadership to the wider team (in areas of expertise).
  • 10+ years' experience in a similar civil infrastructure role
  • CPEng chartered in New Zealand (desirable)
  • Experienced in delivery of projects in New Zealand (desirable)
  • Experience in master planning through to construction monitoring and contract administration phases of projects
  • Infrastructure experience and/or Land development and Urban Redevelopment experience
