An excellent new technology company based in the Milton Keynes area are currently looking for a Battery Structural Analysis Engineer for approximately a period of six month with probably extension.
This is a hybrid role, where the successful candidate will be expected to be on site 1 day per week (negotiable)
Occasional travel to the test sites will be necessary (10% of the time)
The successful Battery Structural Analysis Engineer:
Proven experience in a planning organising and delivering a variety of structural analysis on battery packs, using both traditional hand calculations and CAE methods (Ansys Mechanical, LS Dyna, etc) for example:
- Structural integrity of battery packs
- Design and analysis of new and existing architecture
- Generalised finite element analysis
- Dynamic and statistical simulations
- Fatigue analysis (adhesive debounding)
You will be:
- Proactive and passionate about developing and improving methods, processes and tools.
- Self-motivated individuals who are great problem solvers, can take responsibility and work independently as well as a part of multi-disciplinary team.
- Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making. Preferred candidates would have a mix of experience using MS Office tools, Matlab, Python, APDLANSYS.
**This role has been assessed and determined as Inside IR35 and as a result must be paid PAYE via an Umbrella company or directly**
£29/hr PAYE Direct
£39/hr Gross umbrella rate
