Senior/Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer

A Senior/Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer opportunity has come available in the Guildford area to sit alongside the team lead to help build and develop a team within a well-respected environmental practice. With an already established workload, you will be tasked with helping manage projects technically, commercially and financially.

As a Senior/Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer will be sat directly under the Director of Geo-Environmental helping with quality assurance, project management/delivery as well as recruiting, mentoring and management of junior members of staff.

Your role as a Senior/Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer will be based in Guildford although be extremely Hybrid with only office working when required if preferred. The position surrounds running the day to day projects of a Geo-Environmental department including geotechnical recommendations for ground conditions.

Tasks include, designing/management of ground investigations, client liaison, project management, financial control, recruitment and technical delivery. Writing and reviewing reports e.g. Phase I PRAs, Phase II GQRAs, ground investigation specifications, remediation strategies, verification reports, ES chapters and scoping reports, waste assessments and MMPs. As well as Geotechnical assessments, foundation recommendations and calculations.

Senior/Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer Specification

• Degree/MSc in environmental science, geochemistry, geotechnical or engineering geology.
• Ideally chartered
• At least 5 years Geo-Environmental / Geotechnical Engineer experience
• Excellent technical reporting experience on desk studies, factual/interpretation, geotechnical foundations, remedial recommendations and risk assessments.
• Full cycle project management experience
• Ideally experience managing/developing junior staff.
• UK driving licence.
