Water Hygiene Engineer

Due to recent contract growth,we are recruiting for a Mobile Water Hygiene Engineer to work for a leading Facilities Management company to cover anumber of Care Home sites in North West London.

Successful candidates will be required to carry out a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, minor plumbing and electro / mechanical tasks across the allocated sites. Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within commercial environments. Experience in other maintenance disciplines would be highly desirable.

Hours - Monday - Friday 8-5 ( 40 hours)

This is a permanent position based on Days with a large amount of overtime available paid at premium rates after 40 hours.

Candidates may also be required to be part of an on call pattern that will be 1 in 5

Interested candidates must also be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 and be able to obtain a DBS.

Main Duties

• Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8.
• Maintain customer's water log books and complete the necessary documentation inline with current guidelines and company policy.
• To take a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples inline with company procedures.
• Carry out water system clean and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures.
• To communicate on a daily basis to the service department that all tasks are carried out efficiently.
• Maintain adequate stocks of chemicals and materials as necessary.
• Water temperatures testing/Monitoring & Sampling/Showerhead descales /CWST clean & disinfection / Tank Test

Skills & Attributes

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role carrying out Water Hygiene tasks including Temperature Tests, L8PPMs, Showerhead Descale and Tank Test.
• City and Guilds, BTEC, NVQ equivalent qualifications
• Legionella Awareness
• Experience in other engineering disciplines EG Mechanical/ electrical advantageous
• Trustworthy and reliable
• Candidates are required to hold a Full UK drivers licence
• Fully Vaccinated against Covid 19 and able to obtain a DBS
