Role: Civil CAD Designer / CAD Engineer - Hinkley 'C' Nuclear Power Station project

Location: Hinkley 'C' site near Bridgwater, Somerset

Salary: £35000 - £50000 + good benefits including full travel and accommodation allowance

Start: July 2022 onwards

An exciting opportunity exists for a Civil CAD Designer proficient in the use of Revit, AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred but not essential) and Navisworks and experienced in supporting the design / construction of large structures to work in support of EDF's Hinkley 'C' nuclear power station construction project.

The role will be based at the Hinkley 'C' site, though some home working (up to 2 days/week) will be considered

The digital technician will support the development of BIM Civil / Mechanical models / drawings related to the construction of large structures on the HPC site

This position would suit someone looking to take on a new challenge and immerse themselves into an exciting project whilst developing their own skills further.

Key Responsibilities
  • To model various services & structures on to multiply platforms including Revit, AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred), Navisworks & Dynamo.
  • Create and modify parametric families including dwg (dynamic blocks).
  • Coordinate with various onsite departments to achieve deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of works.
  • BIM Content development.
  • The update of schedules & registers associated to current models / drawings.

Technical Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Autocad (Civils 3D preferred) & Navisworks.
  • Dynamo experience would be useful
  • Autodesk certified would be useful
  • Able to demonstrate Revit family creation. (Benefit)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Flexible attitude with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • A good knowledge of civil / mechanical services
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products
  • Recap experience (Preferred)
  • Pointcloud & topography experience (Bonus)
  • An all-round proactive attitude
