Civil Design Engineer Water

My client is one of the UKs Leading Construction Groups

The Role:

As a Designer in the Capital Maintenance programme, you will be involved in all project phases from project engagement through to CDM and Quality.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Lead Design Engineer during the acceptance and engagement phase of the project providing feedback on the quality and extent of the hand over documentation identifying gaps in information.

Attending site visits and client meetings as necessary, record information relevant to design and construction and ensure that information is circulated to the design team.

Assisting in the preparation of design information and monitor developing designs; resolve any issues highlighted by the design team and escalate to the Design Lead if required.

Liaise with key stakeholders: Leakage, Delivery, Shared Services, Fire Authorities, Highways Authorities etc.

Ensure that the companies procedures are implemented and adhered to.

Ensure that design information conforms to Standards & Specifications.

The individual:

Civil engineer degree (or equivalent).

Experience in the water industry.

Experience in a role where design was a major part of the position.
