A fantastic opportunity has come available for a Civil Engineering Designer to work with our Client in Leeds! on a permanent basis. Salary starting from £25,000 up to £40,000 (depending on experience)

The role will involve working on designs for the civils element of housing work around Yorkshire, and include work on CAD, PDS system and Microdrainage system. Working for a small consultancy, you will receive intensive 'on the job' training and work on designs, be client facing, spend time on site reviewing designs and how the projects are coming together. You will use your experience in design and in the civils/construction industry to move the projects forward and work within the team. As with all small businesses, a 'roll up your sleeves' and work together attitude is required, as are some skills outside of CAD Technician remit, such as dealing with queries and design issues.

The ideal candidate for this Civil Engineering Design role will have:
  • Some design background within the construction industry
  • Ideally a degree in design or civil engineering
  • An interest in construction and civil engineering
  • A desire to produce quality work in a team environment

The role for Civil Engineering Design will involve:
  • Working with CAD, PDS System and Microdrainage System
  • Travelling to sites to meet with clients and council representatives
  • Working closely with the management team to keep them informed on progress
  • Working on designs from start to finish
  • Showing great CAD Technician knowledge
