We are looking to recruit a Design Engineer for our client in South Manchester.
Out client are an engineering consultancy covering multiple sectors including Highways, Infrastructure, Bridges and Rail.
Due to continued work winning and expansion our clinet is now looking to increase top talent to their existing teams.

Job Role
You will support the wider engineering function in the delivery of safe and compliant civil engineering designs & technical deliverables for the successful delivery of rail projects across the UK.
Main Objectives
Manage projects in accordance with company policy & procedures, including input to all project management systems and project QA system(s)
To support the Head of Rail in the delivery and management of a financially sustainable division of our client that has key clients who provide predictable sales and profit streams.
To produce safe and compliant designs to client scope and timescale in accordance with current industry and group standards using established analysis software
Produce technical reports to meet client requirements
Roles & Repsibilies
Manage day-to-day requirements for all areas of project delivery; including technical, safety and financial aspects to maintain compliance, QA policy and procedures.
Deliver all aspects of project work in accordance with client remit and Head of Rail requirements on time, in full and on budget
Respond to Head of Rail requests in a timely and professional manner
Secure regular and ongoing projects from key rail clients.
Managing on time, in full, on budget delivery of projects.
Mentoring, professional development and PMR's for direct reports.
Undertake where required on site project works within the rail environment, sometimes at night and/or to remote locations, to identify issues and solve problems in a safe and professional manner.
Essential Criteria
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Minimum 2-years design experience within consultancy practice
On route to sitting professional review with ICE / IStructE under
Experience of applying design software (TEDDS, Robot, CADS, Superstress etc)
Working knowledge of Eurocodes and associated industry and group standards
UK Driving Licence
Desirable Criteria
Experience of working within the railway sector
Current PTS card holder
Past experience in drainage, earthworks, steelwork or structural surveys; or a combination thereof
Able to work independently on various projects simultaneously
Able to manage commercial aspects of projects from cradle to grave
