Advantage Resourcing are working in partnership with a large engineering company who operate within the defence sector and are currently seeking an experienced Structural Engineer who understands Finite Element methods to work on site in Stevenage.

What will you be working on:The Mechanical Analysis Group are looking for a Structural Engineer to join its team in Stevenage. The group consists of over 30 engineers working across a wide spectrum of cutting-edge military systems. Working for an internationally recognised company, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the products deliver the necessary performance against key structural.

And couple more things you should know how to do:* Proven ability to carry out structural analysis through the application of hand calculations and Finite Element methods (e.g. Hypermesh, Optistruct, etc.) with experience in one or more of the following areas: Static, dynamic, fatigue analysis; Metallic/composite analysis; Finite Element optimisation & Design of Experiments; Assessment of mechanisms and multi body dynamics; or Crash analysis.

A little bit about yourself:* Ability to make quick/simple assessments to progress design activities in an efficient manner.* Self-motivated individuals, who are great problem solvers, can take responsibility and work independently as well as a part of multi-disciplinary team.* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to network and influence internal and external customers.* Relevant experience in an equivalent or comparable industry would be advantageous.
