I am working with a busy and successful Geotechnical and Environmental company who are looking for a talented Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their team in the North West

The role includes assisting and implementing the organisation of projects in the field as well as the office, providing input as directed into the planning aspects to the project. Responsible for field-based logistics including ensuring that the correct equipment is used and maintained on site.

You will ensure that all technical and site work is carried out to a high standard, safely, on time and within budget. Key division of time spent on each part of the job will be set on an annual basis and reviewed regularly.

Project Management & Communications/Self-Management
Execution of ground investigations
Contract management on site to including delivery of projects on time and to
maximize profits from each contract.
Contribute expertise and provide input into the siteworks of new projects.
Prepare and deliver technical reports.

Maintain an effective line of communication between site and the office.
Maintain courteous and professional relations with clients and build upon the
reputation of the company within the industry.
Build effective working relationships with other technical specialists within the company.
Manage own time to ensure effective use of both billable and non-billable hours.
Work with Principal engineers to develop personal objectives.
Participate in professional growth opportunities and training and manage own
career by being accountable for one's behaviour, performance and development.

You will:
Contribute to and support management plans to enhance company performance
and profitability.
Support the maintenance of the quality, environmental and health and safety
accreditations.
Act in a professional and safe manner supporting the safeguarding of others in the
workplace.
Assist the project managers in monitoring contractual and assurance performance.
Ensure Electronic Access to all relevant projects is kept up to date.
Adhere to the more detailed responsibilities in the procedures referred to in Section
Ensure update of Contract Delivery Key Performance Indicators.
Keep abreast of key economic factors, technological advances and political change
that may affect the geo-environmental industry.
Alert and engage people in the need for specific transformational changes in the
way things are done.
Energise, develop and enable colleagues to succeed.
Drive plan delivery, holding people and self to account.
Evaluate information to make sound decisions to manage risk and to drive safe,
reliable and sustainable operations and protect licence to operate.
Apply rigorous commercial and business thinking to decision making in order to
generate value.
Liaison with site and office on contractual issues.
Organisation and supervision of site work.
Information management and record keeping.

The ideal applicant will have a relevant BSc (MSc preferred by not required).

Salary £23,000 - £33,000
