Principal Structural Engineer

Are you experienced in leading the Technical Structural Design Engineering on Mutli-Disciplined Engineering Projects?

The role:
* Structural Engineering design of structural steel elements of large tanks and associated process structures related to the storage of LNG & cryogenic liquids.
* Work within the Structural Engineering Team to undertake the design of large domed roof structures, aluminium decks, large roof-top plant and pipe support structures and access structures.
* Carry out the design of ancillary buildings, overhead cranes, plant & equipment support structures, pipe racks, pipe bridges and Jetty Topside structures associated with import terminals.
* Undertaking third party reviews of other contractors' designs and details as a part of a Project Management Consultants Team.
* Responsibility for providing safe and economical design solutions.
* Supervising and leading the structural engineering and design team in producing designs, drawings and other deliverables
* Function as a Lead Engineer when required by project circumstances.
* Liaise with all other disciplines and external bodies as part of an overall multi-disciplined engineering department.
* Prepare feasibility, FEED and technical studies.
* Produce Cost/Time/Resource (CTR) and material estimates.
* Maintain awareness of industry best practices and developments.
Required experience and qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Chartered Structural Engineer - or working towards.
* Experience of leading Civil/Structural designers in multi-discipline design teams for safety related facilities
* Experienced in overseas projects and international design codes
* Proficient in all aspects of structural steelwork design.
* Proficient in the use of STAAD and Ansys software
* Experience of the seismic analysis of structures.
