Civil Setting out Engineer

Excellent role on offer for an experienced Civil Setting out/ Site Engineer to become involved and to take a lead role in a variety of interesting projects and to grow within a reputable Engineering company.

The company are a marine civil engineering firm based in Devon who provide a full and diverse range of civil engineering and maritime services. From marine and civil construction to piling to emergency infrastructure repair and with a large amount of clients, the variety in the role and the chance to have hands on responsibility is immense. Over the years they have established themselves as a company who deliver consistently high standards to both their longstanding clients as well as to new client projects.

In this position you will be involved in an range of Engineering activities including setting out, overseeing construction work, leading a team of experienced site operatives as well as working with clients and subcontractors to achieve project completion while maintain high health & safety. You will be working in a well-equipped, experienced team in delivering the companies exciting new projects ranging from small projects up to £5 million pound sites that require extended work, all over the UK.

The role would therefore suit someone who is an enthusiastic Civil Site Engineer, who has experience working on site and leading teams on construction works but is also happy to report progress to the company and work with clients and subcontractors in achieving projects to a high standard. It will also require individuals to be willing to travel nationwide to work on a diverse range of projects.

The role:
Civil Site/Setting out Engineer
£28,000 - £45,000 DOE
Chance to progress up to Contracts/ Project Manager
Annual bonus based upon performance and profit

Paid overtime
Travel expenses paid

The person:
Experienced Civil Site Engineer (does not need Marine background) - competent using Total Station.
Motivated & ambitious
Good communication skills
Motivated and dedicated to providing quality deliverables and maintaining client relationships
High levels of knowledge regarding health and safety
