Are you a Mechanical Engineering graduate with 1-2 years' postgraduate experience and looking to advance a career within the thriving and constantly growing Renewable Energy and District Heating industries?

This company has a significant presence in the local area and is responsible for delivering key utilities to domestic/residential and commercial premises, namely through several Combined Heat-Power plants. They have recently established their 2nd key site in the Woking area and have plans to develop and supply energy to over 1000 new properties in the area over the next 7 years.

In this role you will undergoing practical on-the-job training that will eventually see you being responsible for cradle-to-grave project engineering covering everything from supporting early project design and scoping through to contractor management and commissioning support. Projects will typically focus on plant replacements/upgrades for Heat, Power & Chilled Water generation and distribution, as well as network extensions and new customer connections.

The ideal candidate will have studied a Mechanical Engineering or similar degree and will have some practical postgraduate experience in a relevant field. In addition to this they will need to be a self-starter and keen to learn new specialisms in order to further progress their career. Any experience with heating/hot water systems, power generation/transmission equipment or renewable energy technologies will be highly advantageous.

The role:
* Liaising with internal M&E design team as well as external consultants during early project design and scoping
* Clarifying project briefs, creating cost plans and specifications for build
* Assessing tenders, appointing contractors and then managing them throughout project delivery
* Ensuring design compliance throughout project delivery
* Reporting on project progress and ensuring works are carried out in line with time and budget requirements
* Witnessing project commissioning and supporting handover to O&M team including O&M manual reviews, snags

The person:
* Educated to Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
* Minimum 1-2 years' postgraduate experience in relevant field
* Self-starter and motivated by opportunities for further career progression and skills development
