Civil Engineer (Graduate to Senior)

The role:
You are expected to help clients achieve their business goals by providing technical solutions and advise, solving problems by being innovative and improving or matching methods developed in previous assignments. You will receive a brief of works required from the client along with any associated documentation. You will be expected to make design decisions throughout the course of each project assigned and will be required to consider clients requirements in line with financial, legal and resource constraints within which we operate. You will be required to create and review design calculations as well as check and approve drawings produced as a result of the calculations. To develop and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external clients and suppliers. Ensure that all aspects of the Quality Management System are adhered to, as well as completing all work in line with the clients Core Values and in accordance with the clients Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures Provide technical assistance to staff, including training within specific areas of responsibility and expertise as required You will be expected to produce faultless designs and calculations for clients and the CAD team, all calculations and designs are subject to review dependant on complexity and will be checked in detail in line with our Quality Management System and the company's quality procedures Demonstrate willingness and take a proactive approach to ongoing CDP, such as attendance at courses and professional meetings. You will receive on the job training as required / requested to obtaining membership in your chosen institute. You will be required to liaise with other disciplines within the company as well as site operatives and may be required to represent the company at design and Site meetings. You will also be expected to interact directly with our clients (both existing and prospective). Contribute to the achievements of the team and Company objectives
Essential Attributes:
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant subjects Micro Drainage / Windes Proven experience in drainage preferably in the housing industry Fluent in the use AutoCAD and Civils 3D Experience with MS Office software, Word, Excel, PowerPointetc.

Additional Information:
Perm / 37.5-hour week Able to commute reliably to office base. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required. Must have clean or near clean driving licence.
