Civil Project Engineer, Central London, to £60,000 per annum, plus pension, healthcare (BUPA) bonus;
Move into a management position with a respected and long established property & construction consultancy. This is a role for an ambitious civil engineer with developer led infrastructure experience encompassing drainage and flood risk/ alleviation.
The role: The management of external civil engineering consultants to deliver roads, drainage and flood alleviation schemes. Providing advice to predominantly blue-chip clients at feasibility and planning stages. Collaboration with in-house project managers, architects and civil engineers on complex integrated projects. Work alongside the engineering director to develop their civil engineering capability so that work can be designed and delivered in-house. You will act as discipline lead and oversee this expansion.

Their London office employs over eighty personnel centred on a multi-discipline team of engineers, architects and project managers. They provide front-end advice, design and project management services on major projects to major client organisations and developers. This is a well managed, profitable business with a reputation for delivering quality and cost effective major projects. They are located in high quality offices in the City of London, offer excellent working conditions and enjoy low levels of staff turnover.
About You: A degree qualified civil engineer with a consulting engineering background that includes drainage design and design delivery. Knowledge of flood risk and alleviation and associated roads infrastructure. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills. An interest in growing and managing a team of civil engineers and developing your managerial and commercial skills.
The opportunity: The position will have a management focus, beginning with responsibility for work being carried out by external consultants and the interface with clients. Career progression will follow as the civil engineering team evolves and grows under your direction. They have a constant pipeline of development infrastructure commissions that can be brought in-house.
