Engineering Geologist/Geoenvironmental Engineer

The Opportunity:

Our Ground Engineering team are seeking a Graduate or someone with up to 2 years' experience to work in our Edinburgh or Glasgow office, to cover the following:

· Completion of Phase I contaminated land, mining /geology and ground engineering desk studies;

· Act as a Site Agent or supporting role, supervising multiple ground investigation / ground remediation / CQA activities on either short and longer duration projects;

· Supervision of site works including logging of soils and rock (in accordance with current UK standards);

· Specify and supervise in-situ testing and sampling in accordance with UK specifications and current technical standards;

· Liaise with clients, engineers, contractors and sub-contractors throughout the site work phase;

· Assist in the preparation of contract documentation and administration of contracts (including financial control),

· Geo-environmental data assessment and analysis; and

· Factual and interpretative reporting and gas and groundwater monitoring.

About you:
  • BSc in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or similar, MSc or industry experience is advantageous;
  • A full and clean UK driving licence;
  • Confidence and knowledge of UK ground investigation techniques; and
  • Written report writing skills, and computer software skills.
