THE BUSINESS

We are supporting a major construction company, that oversees and manages multi-million pound projects. They are new to Teesside but have a long and successful history of managing projects based all over the world.

They are extremely excited to be basing themselves on Teesside, where there's so much excitement about the development and investment that's coming in to the region. They have moved here specifically due to a high-profile project they're involved with and the future opportunities for them are absolutely unbelievable!

THE ROLE

Observe construction practices as required for compliance of construction operations with federal, state, and local codes, industry standards, company procedures, and contractual requirements

Inspection of construction, for structural stability, building envelope

Coordinate internally with other project execution disciplines and external suppliers to insure proper quality control planning is p erformed in advance of construction

Help represent the construction team in project meeting settings

May serve as project manager on technical projects (investigation, analysis and design) in specific areas of expertise

Manages the daily operation of the in-house construction personnel to complete projects and tasks assigned

Key point of contact for site construction operations and associated personnel

Maintains construction schedules and reports to management

Examines blue prints and identifies discrepancies for projects

Promote safety awareness and safe performance among project team members, including consultants and contractor personnel

Monitor and appraise contractor construction activities and performance

THE PERSON

Essential criteria for the role are as follows:

At least high school diploma and prefer B.S in Civil Engineering or associated engineering science
(Senior) Over 10 years experience as a Construction Engineer / (Supervisor) over 5 years / (Junior) over 3 years
